Description: Medium to large agarics, solitary to scattered, on soil and disturbed ground, under grass in olive grove.

Pileus: Flat slightly depressed centrally, fleshy, wet, viscid to greasy, smooth, white with pinkish spots; diameter 54 - 74mm wide; velar remnants absent.
Stipe: Thinning centrally expanding towards the cap and towards the base (bulbous), fleshy, sticky, without ring, volva present but ocassionaly not very visible; 7 - 11mm diameter centrally, 15-27mm base, 64 - 67mm height.
Gills: Free, close, thick, pale coloured darkening at maturity to salmon and later to pinkish-brown, l=1-3.

Microscopy:
Pileipellis: Erect hyphae parallel to each other in a gelatinous matrix.
Gill trama: Convergent.
Basidia: 3- and 4-spored, rather short.
Cheilocystidia: Absent.
Pleurocystidia: Present - uncommon, lanceolate.
Caulocystidia: Absent.
Spores: Ellipsoid, rough surface without germ pore; 16.2-18.2µm x 10.0-11.6µm, Q=1.47-1.73, Qm=1.59
