Description: Medium sized agaric, several specimens attached to fallen trunk (probably of Populus) which was partially immersed in the stream.

Cap: Irregularly shaped but roughly fan shaped but occasionally fused with other, flattish, fleecy-like upper surface, dirty white (light tan) in colour becoming whitish near the edge, with incurved margins; diameter 15-60mm, 14-47mm depth.
Stipe: Absent.
'Gills': Several ridge-like 'gills' splitting dichotomously in a characteristic way, coloured a greyish-white.

Microscopy:
Pileipellis: Filamentous with thick walls.
