The elmleaf blackberry (Rubus ulmifolius) is a wild blackberry common is some areas in Malta. It is a thorny shrub with long thorns and is a fast grower often overgrowing over plants, shrubs and low trees. It flowers in late spring and blackberries appear in late summer.
