Pithya cupressina (Batsch) Fuckel, 1870
Description: Scattered on conifer leaf litter (Cupressus) in shaded areas, very small-sized fruiting body, rounded, without setae, coloured pale to dark yellow, with short stipe, sometimes absent; 0.5-3mm diameter.

Microscopy:
Setae: Absent
Paraphyses: Long, thin with slightly inflated tips, pale coloured, inamyloid; 65-110µm x 3-5µm.
Asci: Large, transparent, rounded tips, inamyloid with 8 ascospores; 100-140µm x 11.5-13.8µm.
Ascospores: Globular, finely rough, inamyloid; 10.0-10.8µm, Q=1.00-1.04, Qm=1.02
