The katydid Phaneroptera nana is a small green coloured cricket with long filamentous antennae, small black spots and bright coloured eyes. In the nymphs the antennae are longer than the body of the insect and can be found on a variety of plant leaves or flowers. Adults can grow to slightly less than 2cm.
