Oxalidaceae
The Cape sorrel (Oxalis pes-caprae) is an invasive species of plant which has overcome many local species. It has invaded all the Maltese islands and is now present all over the Islands. The leaves are trefoil, whilst the flowers are yellow. Occasionally a variety with a double flower may be found.
