The Sweet Alison (Lobularia marittima) or Buttuniera (Maltese common name) is a perennial herbaceous plant which is very common all around the Maltese Islands. It is a small plant with minute bluish-green leaves and small white flowers with 4 distinct petals. It grows in different sites including disturbed areas. Flowering is in summer.
