Hygrocybe sp.5
Description: Solitary to scattered, small to medium sized waxy caps, on soil and leaf litter under Olive trees.
Pileus: Rather conical to convex, light brown to brown in colour, smooth and viscid, splitting marginally; 25-26mm.
Stipe: Straight, dark brown in colour but paler near the base, viscid; about 2mm in diameter, 45mm height.
Gills: Free, white, medium crowded to distant, thick.

Microscopy:
Pileipellis:Consists of 3 layers:- an upper layer consisting of thin interwoven hyphae, followed by a layer of thick parallel hyphae and a lower layer of thick interwoven hyphae.
Gill trama: Regular.
Basidia: 2-, 3- & 4-spored (mainly 2-spored).
Cheilocystidia: Absent - undifferentiated with clamp connections.
Pleurocystidia: Absent.
Caulocystidia: Absent.
Spores: Ellipsoid, hyaline, rough surface; 10.0-13.2µm x 5.3-7.3µm, Q=1.69-2.15, Qm=1.85.

This specimen appears to be similar to CS140 but is considered different - colour, viscidity and gill thickness.
