Description: Solitary to scattered, small waxy caps, on calcareous soil with leaf litter under Olive trees.
Pileus: Flat with low umbo, fibrillose, dark red to black in the older specimens, dry, splitting irregularly at the margins; 22-24mm.
Stipe: Straight, yellowish-red in one specimen, blanched in another but blackening with age, dry; 3-4mm diameter, 15-26mm height.
Gills: Free to emarginate, brownish in the young specimen but tinged violet with black edge in the older specimens, medium crowded to distant, thick.
Smell: Unpleasant.

Microscopy:
Pileipellis: Interwoven filamentous hyphae, with a lower layer of inflated hyphae.
Basidia: 2-spored.
Gill trama: Regular.
Cheilocystidia: Absent.
Pleurocystidia: Absent.
Spores: Ellipsoid, hyaline, inamyloid, rough;
9.8-13.0µm x 6.5-10.0µm, Q=1.21-1.73, Qm=1.43.
