The Mediterranean Flour Moth (Ephestia kuehniella) is a stored grain pest. It lays its eggs in grain, cereals or preferentially wheat flour and the hatched larvae feed and spoil the material. It is a common pest and the use of bay leaves near such products are said to repel uninfected material.
