Dynamena disticha is a common sertulariid hydroid colony which is found on a variety of
materials from algae, other sessile invertebrate species to bedrock. In Malta it was
collected from the brown macroalga Dictyopteris and the green macroalga Halimeda tuna
as well as a cave surface.
This specimen was identified and described in detail (p. 187 & Fig. 5a-b) in the following
paper published (2013) by Soto Àngel and Peña Cantero.
