Cyzicidae
Cyzicus tetracerus is a member of the spinicaudata found in temporary fresh water pools. It resembles a bivalved mollusc but is unrelated to them (Cyzicus is a crustacean). It is a rare species in the Maltese Islands and feed on small branchiopods (like Ceriodaphnia and Daphnia) and minute larvae.
