Crocus longiflorus is a perennial flowering plant and like other Crocus sp. grows from corms. The leaves are thin and the flowers are comparatively large. Flowering is in early winter and the plants can cover a moderate area with their beautiful flowers in some garigue areas. The flowers are purple with yellow stamens.
