Description: Medium agaric, clustered, on soil, close to bay-laurel (Laurus nobilis) tree, growing with Pholiotina vestita and near Coprinellus disseminatus.
Pileus: Conical, brown coloured, dry, smooth, weak striations are visible near margin, diameter 13-24mm
Stipe: White, pruinose, fragile, hollow, straight, 1.5-2.5mm diameter, 45-70mm height.
Gills: Adnate, crowded, dark brown in colour, l=2-3.
Spore print: Black.

Microscopy:
Cheilocystidia: Lageniform (skittle shaped) 45-61µm x 14-22µm, abundant.
Pleurocystidia: Uncommon similar to cheilocystidia.
Caulocystidia: 'Present' as long thin hyphae with external deposits and pigment, near base of stipe.
Basidia: 2 & 4 spored.
Gill trama: Regular - composed of inflated hyphae.
Spores: Dark brown, ellipsoid (rather rectangular) with central germ pore; L= 8.6-10.6µm, W = 5.0-5.9µm, Q=1.52-1.89, Qm=1.74
