The Rosemary beetle (Chrysolina americana) is a small beetle which lives on Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis). The beetle is coloured a metallic green and purple stripes. The larvae feed on rosemary leaves causing much damage. They are reported to live on thyme in other countries but locally appear restricted to rosemary shrubs.
