Description: Solitary to scattered medium sized
agarics, on ground rich in Quercus leaf litter. Pileus: Flat to infundibuliform, yellow coloured with
pale yellow and yellow-orange spashes on the cap,
dry, smooth; 27-58mm diameter. Stipe: Thick, fleshy, straight, dry, yellow coloured
with darkening towards the base; 8-14mm diameter. "Gills": Yellow, shallow ridges, dichotomous, vein
like and anastomosing, markedly decurrent. Spores print: White. Colour Test: Ferrous sulphate - Stipe: colour change to red;
Ridges: darker red.
Microscopy: Basidia: Elongated with external pigment, 4-spored Spores: Ellipsoid, inamyloid; 7.4-9.6µm x 4.3-6.0µm,
