Aglaopheniidae
Aglaophenia kirchenpaueri is a common pinnate colonial hydroid present around the Maltese Islands. specimens have been found growing on bedrock, on Posidonia and Cystoseira sp. It has been recorded from 0-21m depth. Doto floridicola was found feeding and spawning on this hydroid (spawn visible in upper photo on the top right side).

This specimen was identified and described in detail (p. 185 & Fig. 3h-i) in the following paper published (2013) by Soto Àngel and Peña Cantero.
